The spoonbill is a migratory bird that belongs to the family of herons, wintering in Africa and returns to Italy to nest.
In our region is not easy to observe, the best places are the Guazzi del Musone and Sentina di San Benedetto and few other places.
It is possible to see this birds on these places because they are on the migratory route to reach the Po Delta in particular Valle Mandriole where they can breed.
This year I was lucky enough to observe and photograph one of these birds to the Stagno Urbani of Fano.
