At the pass of Forca di Presta 00.30 it seemed to be at a fair.
Hundreds (say hundreds) of people with boots, head lamps and hiking sticks ready to climb the summit and looking in on the path to the Zilioli hut an endless line of lights.
What a sight!
I was a little worried, can I with my hundred kilo, backpack and tripod to get up there out of practice?
The climb has been less strenuous than expected, the descent was instead dramatic.
Due to thousands of people every single stone of the path is moved, and the risk of ending up with the butt on the ground is very high.
On the way back to 11.30 at Forca di Presta we found even the Civil Protection to regulate the traffic!
Many unwary faced the climb at 11.00 with tennis shoes and without a backpack and hat.
However, I made some photographs, I was wrong to not concentrate more on the incredible flowering of edelweiss on the summit, it was probably the most numerous flower may be because of heavy rains of July.
An extraordinary place to visit at least once.
