I wanted to combine photographs of previous posts based on shooting place’s but in reality there is not more or less fruitful place in the Varanger Peninsula.
As soon as you step on the beach you will see fly away shorebirds and eagles, if you step over the sphagnum to the side of the road you will see fly away passerines and skuas.
I could mention the locality as Kiberg where we stayed and red-throated loon was nesting, or Ekkeroy, Nesseby, Vestre Jacobselv with the last strip of woodland full of arctic redpoll and bluetroath.
But believe me every corner of this area is full of wildlife.
During our wanderings we have found very usefull the Biotope Varanger BirdsGuide i had already bought and studied in Italy months before the journey.
Many thanks even to Anders Maeland for the precious guide of the last day.
