You have to be lucky to meet this bird, in fact during its migration from the arctic’s steppes to the north africa stops to rest only for few days on the summits of our Apennines.

The most convenient period to observe is  the post reproductive, mid-September / mid-October, I saw them twice on the top of Mount Catria.
Is an animal very confident because unaccustomed to human presence, and it can be approached a lot.
